This is the day that the Lord has made so let us rejoice and be glad in it! Although we still find ourselves in the midst of a global firestorm, let us confidently refuse to submit to the worry, despair or discouragement this world is trying to peddle to our spirit.
In the 3rd Chapter of Daniel, it tells the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego and how they were tied up and thrown in a fiery furnace because the forces of evil thought they had these Hebrew children captive to abuse at their will. But the captors didn’t realize that those names were just slave names. And though these servants of God were physically present for their current circumstances of imprisonment, the truth was, they actually were spiritually free.
No matter what their captors called them, they could not take away the fact that they were not Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego but they were who God said they were ….. Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah! And when they were thrown into the midst of the fiery furnace for daring to rejoice in the face of destruction, the true power of who they really were emerged as they were loosed from their bondage and gloriously walked with Jesus in the middle of the flames!
So keep the faith dear ones and always remember that the Lord will never leave you nor forsake you but will always be with you as you walk through the difficult circumstances of your life.
As Job said, “For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth” (Job 19: 25)
